University of Savonia
The school :
The school is one of the largest in Finland, with a number of different streams, including business, medicine and engineering. The school is divided into 6 floors and 3 buildings, with lots of computer rooms and large classrooms.
For us, getting into the school went really well, we were immediately shown around the school and shown how the dedicated areas worked and how the classes went.
The courses :
For our first week of lessons, the teachers introduced themselves and told us what the lessons were going to be like and how we were going to be graded throughout the semester. A typical week here consists of our 6 chosen subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Business to Business, Project Management, Material Management and Finnish).
For the classes, you have to turn up 5 minutes beforehand with a badge to open the door to the room, so students who aren't registered for the class can't get in. Often the classes last 1.5 hours, with group projects for the management subjects and for the science subjects it's just raw classes with exercises to do at home or at school.
The librabry :
Speaking of exercises to do or projects in the school we find a large library where we spend most of our time working on the exercises together with other students but also to carry out our project. The library is great because it is very comfortable with soundproof seats and large sofas or round sofas for cohesion so that everyone does not have to be in an armchair. What is also good about the school is that you find a piano in the middle of the library where certain students play those which add a good atmosphere.
In our school we also find cafeterias almost everywhere in our school, but also a large canteen which for us students is 2 euros 95 those which are not expensive at all, because it is a buffet where we can choose those that we want. 'we want starter, main course and dessert with our quantities, those which make the 2 euros 95 very profitable
